The yard signs, as they begin to pop up in our community, right about this time of year are a delightful tradition. This morning at the break of dawn on my walk through the neighborhood, I saw the first one this year, honoring a graduate of the class of 2020.
It didn’t take long to realize that it would not take much to alter one of the signs of my older children, now safely tucked away in storage as memorabilia of graduation seasons in years gone by. Through the years, the signs do not change except the date and the name.
To the high school class of 2020 and your families in my community and across the nation and the world, your tremendous accomplishments mean no less despite this season of unprecedented school closures.
Congratulations to all of you!
We all look forward to the day when you too, will have your moments of photos and making memories at graduation ceremonies and in celebration of all your dedication, hard work and the end of an era as high school students.
God bless you, Class of 2020.
